For sale, a basic RHD 1961 Series 2 109″ with tropical roof. According to Gaydon documents a HDO, home delivery order, to Greater London for onward passage to Nigeria, where the first owner kept it for 42 years. He then sold it to the new Dutch owner in 2003, who completely restored it. Originally mid grey, now blue. Documents and photos from the time it spent in Africa have been preserved and come with the vehicle, as do workshop manuals.
I’m not the present owner, but I can put you in contact with the seller, Auto Gijs in Tynaarlo, a small village in the province of Groningen in the Netherlands. The vehicle was for sale previously in 2019. I looked at it, drove it, and thought it was an excellent Series 2. Ultimately I didn’t buy it, for reasons that had nothing to do with the car. I’m advertising it here because it is a RHD. The first six photos date back to 2019, the last seven are from the present seller.
