About Us

The club was founded in 1984 by a group of enthusiasts in the South West of England.  The Club now covers the world with 2600+ members. The clubs sole aim is to further the appreciation, restoration and driving of all Land Rover models built between 1958 and 1971. The Series 2 Land Rovers are instantly recognisable, the world over by the curvy sides; the quintessential Land Rover look. We organise events, local meetings, road runs in a friendly and inclusive environment, where members can learn and share knowledge to keep our wonderful vehicles on the road.

We welcome anyone with an interest in all Series Land Rovers, whether you are a keen restorer to ‘as new’ condition, or run it with a mixture of parts to just to keep it running and on the road.

65th Anniversary - Bonnet Challenge

2023 saw the 65th Anniversary of the Series 2 Land Rover.  The club moved a Series 2 bonnet (known as the Bumbling Bonnet) all the way from Lands End, to John O Groats, via the most westerly & easterly points possible on UK mainland, ending on the club stand at the NEC Classic Car Show in November 2024.  During the bonnets travels each area of the club decorated it with local landmarks, raising money along the way.

As you can see from photos taken during the bonnets travels, a lot of effort has gone into making this challenge a great success.  If you wish to thank all of those involved please click on the ‘Donate now’ button below to donate to the chosen charity – BBC Children in Need – thank you.
