A late series 2a, swb, hard top, 2.25 petrol land rover, marine blue with limestone wheels. Free wheel front hubs, station wagon style rear sliding windows, rocky mountain aluminium doortops.
Historic vehicle status (MOT and tax exempt)
Passed MOT in February, no advisories.
Recent work carried out includes: replacement outrigger, N/S bulkhead, new steering track rod ends, new brake cylinders on front axle, new flexible brake pipes, new oil seals on front spheres.
Vehicle in current ownership for 11 years, engine and gearbox replaced with recon units before my ownership. Engine, gearbox, 2wd/4wd, hi/lo all work as they should.
Chassis is solid, but as would be expected with an original chassis it has been patched, outriggers replaced, probably had a new rear cross member at some point.
Bulkhead also has historical repairs, it is solid but will need attention to the lower door posts at some point in the future.
The drivers side door is also pretty corroded at the bottom and will need work in the future.
I’ve used the vehicle regularly over the years for work, (local hedge cutting etc) and it’s been maintained to keep it roadworthy rather than to restore or improve it, therefore it’s pretty standard/original spec.
For sale due to increasing lack of use over the last couple of years, time for it to move on….
