Purchased during covid lockdown, since when it has been garaged and has undergone a reasonable amount of work, ready to be taken to the next stage.
It runs and stops well and is in reasonably good condition. All doors had to be replaced as completely rotten and require painting.
Work undertaken includes: –
New hubs, brake shoes and slave cylinders all round (LR Clutches)
New copper brake lines where necessary
New Free wheeling hubs
New seats front and rear
New galvanized doors all round
Full strip down and rebuild of Weber carburetor
Electronic ignition and Ignition coil
Fuel tank filler pipe and brackets
The following new parts are included with the sale but not yet fitted as painting required: –
Roof and door seals – full set I believe
Rear door glass (old), retaining strips (full set old & new), non-setting sealant
Front door handles
Front footwell mats
Also included new and original parts –
Tow bar, Rear Door wheel carrier, dash light, Light lenses and bulbs, Jack and handle, Points – electronic ignition easily removed, Fuel sender unit, water thermostat, water temp transmitter, oil filter seals, seat straps and nuts (spare), pedal box gaskets, wing mirror glass, Smith clock (reconditioned), new headlamps and surrounds, headlamp wiring for direct battery feed, Fuel return gasket. Spare wheel hub x 2, full all-weather cover and Paintman bronze green enamel paint, undercoat and thinners.
