Currently in kit form having been stripped down by the previous owner and former club member now sadly deceased.
The chassis has been completely rebuilt as has the period correct bulkhead. The bulkhead needs a topcoat being currently in primer. All the main body panels are there although the tailgate is not original. The gearbox has been rebuilt although we do not know to what standard or what extent. It is correct for the period. The original 151 2.25 petrol engine is complete and included, but needs to be totally rebuilt. Another engine may be available by separate agreement. The original axle casings are present, but the vehicle comes with a pair of Series 3 axles in good condition but will need the usual overhaul. There is no wiring harness present although most other electrical parts are present. All other major items – steering box, relay, bumper, springs, shackles, pins and so on are all included. Many of the parts are brand new or refurbished.
This vehicle has a great history having been used by a Rover dealer in Ash – Surrey / Hampshire as a recovery vehicle for most of it’s life. Sadly we do not have the crane, but we do also have the Turner winch for the front. We are missing the linkage to connect the winch to the engine, but it still looks good.
The first two photos show the vehicle as it was before it was stripped down by the previous owner.
We have the original buff logbook and a V5 so all complete. It has been registered under two different numbers over the years and is now back on its original plate 7362 BP
