Title
1962 Series 2A Recovery Vehicle
Description

1962 Series 2A 109 Recovery Vehicle. A replica of the St Marys Motor Co vehicle from the 1960’s. Fitted with a Harvey Frost recovery crane, recovery beacon, work lights and Turner winch (no driveline with the winch).
This vehicle was despatched to the armed forces when new and was released in 1975, hence the N registration. I have the vehicle B card details and units it served with.
Its on its original chassis with the chassis number stamped in it.
2 1/4 petrol engine although I am not sure if this is the original engine. We know it was fitted with a straight 6 for a while.
Fitted with 3 deluxe seats and free wheeling hubs.
Brake cylinders and shoes replaced along with the master cylinder.
Twin fuel tanks, a new tank being fitted to the drivers side.
New tyres and battery fitted during the rebuild.
The vehicle advertising is sign written and are not vinyl stickers.
Further information can be found in the Autumn 2024 Built to Last magazine.
